An electrifying documentary on the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival. Since Iceland Airwaves was first held in 1999 (in an airplane hangar), it has become one of the premier showcases for new music – Icelandic and otherwise – in the world. It’s been called “the most innovative music festival since CMJ”. Some of the world’s most exciting artists - including Suede, The Flaming Lips, The Hives, Fatboy Slim, Thievery Corporation, Bloc Party, and Casio Kids - have made the short hop from Europe or North America to share the stages with Iceland’s finest talents including Sigur Rós, Gus Gus, Minus, Mugison, Jagúar, Dikta, Quarashi, Leaves, Trabant, FM Belfast, Steed Lord and many, many more.

"Where is the Snow?!" features performances by Icelandic musicians like: Agent Fresco, Olafur Arnalds, Dikta, Esja, Mammút, Reykjavik!, Retro Stefso, Pall Oskar, Hjaltalin, Retron, Bróðir Svartúlfs, Kimono, Our Lives, Dr. Spockf, and MANY more!
Bowen Staines hails from the frosty state of New Hampshire, where he fell into music and cinematography at a very early age, initially spurring the idea to create DON’T PANIC FILMS. In fact, it was his fondness for music that originally drew him to the rainy country of Iceland, where DON’T PANIC now resides and has established a high-level of success amongst the musical community. When he isn’t filming at DON’T PANIC, Bowen’s spare time is dedicated to being a professional musician, as well as a sponsored skateboarder, a graphic designer, and a freelance photographer. His music has been featured in numerous independent films, he runs a newly-founded web television network specializing in Scandinavian music, and he does cinematography and still photography for National Geographic. Gunnar Guðbjörnsson is a proud new addition to the expanding world of Don’t Panic Films: Iceland. Currently residing in the small, northernmost capital of the world, Gussi began his film career at a very young age, and has since built himself a small musical empire following the creation of “Sleepless in Reykjavik”, an explosively popular film production studio - and accompanying webshow - that focuses on music-related documentaries and music videos. Gussi’s most recent endeavor, “Sky May Be Falling… But The Stars Look Good On You”, follows Icelandic composer and wonder kid, Ólafur Arnalds, on his recent UK tour. Aside from his work on Sleepless in Reykjavik, Gussi is also an editor at Saga Films, works the crane system on “Icelandic Idol”, and was even an editor and DP for “The Bikini Models of Iceland”. In his spare time, Gussi admits to being a “total gadget freak”, using his garage to construct dollys, mounts, and camera rigs for skateboards, bikes, and even guitars.
