Some people have to live their lives on a constant look out for snakes. Some even have to wear boots all the time. But people in Iceland have the privilege of just wearing whatever shoes they want – without any worries.
Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurðsson was born in Reykjavík in 1978. He has been involved in filmmaking since his teenage years but at the end of his literature studies at the University of Iceland he moved to New York where he graduated in the spring of 2008 with a masters in direction and screenwriting from Columbia University.
